Where culture, commerce, and community meet in the digital age.
If you grew up in the Four Corners area—especially on or near the Navajo Nation—you might know what we mean when we mention a "trading post". A stop along the highway. A familiar smell of frybread and coffee. A mix of stories, gossip, beadwork, gossip again, some bolts of Pendleton or cans of Spam. It was a hub—not just for trade, but for culture, connection, and life.
That spirit is what we’re building here.
What is The Trading Post?
The Trading Post is a modern digital collective for Indigenous and Southwestern creatives. We're here to highlight art, fashion, storytelling, and community—whether that’s through curated merch drops, blog features, or our podcast amplifying cultural voices from across Turtle Island.
We're proudly rooted in the Navajo Nation and raised in the cultural crossroads of the Southwest. Our founders grew up at the intersection of tradition and transformation, where basketball tournaments met beadwork, church hymns echoed next to drum circles, and the local pizza joint became a second home.
Now, we’re bringing that blend online—using streetwear, storytelling, and good design to spotlight creators you might not find in galleries or boutiques. And we’re doing it with care. Every drop, every feature, every stitch is guided by relationships, respect, and a mission to give back.
How It Started
The Trading Post grew out of a family legacy of entrepreneurship on the reservation. We all watched our parents build something out of nothing—whether it was a pizza business in a border town that became a staple for the community, or a beadwork stand on the side of Highway 89. We saw that same DIY spirit in the artists, musicians, and designers around us who were hustling to share their work and tell their stories.
But for the generation that grew up online, there wasn’t one shared place to carry that spirit forward—a space to connect our heritage with the digital world we live in now.
So we built one.
The Trading Post is our answer: a modern online platform that honors the past while making space for the future. We launched with merch and a podcast. Now, we’re expanding to host other Native-led brands, collaborate with artists on limited drops, and grow a network that celebrates—and circulates—Indigenous creativity.
Why We Exist
Because Indigenous culture deserves to be centered in conversations about fashion, art, and the future.
Because our stories deserve to be told by us—not filtered or flattened.
Because our communities deserve platforms that give back and lift up.
This isn’t just a store. It’s a movement. It’s a homecoming. It’s a way forward.
Welcome to The Trading Post.
